Evidence Practice Problem Assignment Paper.

Evidence Practice Problem Assignment Paper.

In this assignment, you will refer back to the topic you selected for your evidence-based practice problem from the identified list of topics provided by your course faculty in week 1 and the three articles selected from your week 2 assignment.

For this assignment, you will interpret the three articles selected from your week 2 assignment. First, you must complete a matrix table for your three articles (see template provided below).  Evidence Practice Problem Assignment Paper.Once you complete this matrix table, you will write a paper, including the following information:

  • An introduction to the topic from week 2 and created PICOT question (although this information may be similar to what you provided in your week 2 assignment, be sure to paraphrase and not copy/paste directly from that assignment).
  • For each of the three articles selected, describe the following:
    • Concepts explored in the article/study (This is the “what” of the study.)
    • Methods used in the article/study (Describe this in detail; it’s “how” of the study.)

Participants in the article/study (This is the “who” of the study.

    • Instruments/tools in the student (This is the resources used to collect the data; i.e.; survey, interview, etc. Be sure to include a discussion of reliability and validity, as well.)
  • Conclusion/summary of the evidence.
  • Be sure to provide the matrix table at the end of your paper as an appendix; failure to include this at the end of the paper or at all will result in point deduction.

Remember to support your ideas with the articles you found. These articles should be less than five (5) years old. They should not be from the Web, but from the library databases, and be sure to use a narrative format.

In addition, you must follow APA guidelines, providing a title page, reference page, appendix, and in-text citations, as well as use level headings to match the assignment criteria listed above.

Please use, at minimum three scholarly references, and your paper should be 500-700 words, excluding title and reference pages and the matrix table.

For expectant mothers, how does cesarean delivery compared to normal child delivery
result in excessive blood loss after birth?
For expectant women who go through surgery to deliver, there are certain risks that are
associated with this kind of delivery. Child delivery is meant to be through a vaginal opening on
natural cases, but there are cases that a woman has to undergo surgery to get the child out of her womb (WHO, 2015). In America alone, it has been found that at least one child in three, if born through C-Section Natalie, 20180, the truth behind America’s C-section rate (Escobar, 2017).
This is a very high percentage implying that at least 33% of births in America are through
C-Section. Evidence Practice Problem Assignment Paper.
It is important to understand which scenarios result in delivery through C-section. This is
necessary because it helps expectant mothers to predict the likelihood of a normal child delivery
or the likelihood of a C-section delivery. Given that 1 of three children is born through C-section,
what risk follows to the mothers after this kind of delivery, in this case, excessive blood loss
after this surgery. From my PICOT question, expectant mothers are the population, cesarean
delivery is the interest, normal delivery is the comparison interest, excessive blood loss is the
outcome and after birth is the time frame of the question (“C-section – benefits and risks,” 2018).
For the PICOT question, it involves assessing complications that are expected to arise after
C-section to ensure that a mother is not discharged from maternity before ascertaining that her
wound is not bleeding and will not bleed after she has been delivered.
To gain insight into the articles which I used to develop my question, I used different
terms of my internet search. One of these terms was a cesarean section where I obtained the
article to understand what it is. Secondly, I did an internet search for risks of C-section, and I
realized blood loss is one of them. Thirdly, I did an internet search for the percentage of women
who deliver through this type of process.
As a summary, I learned that during C-section, the wound left could bleed, and there are
cases when this bleeding is very extreme.
